He is survived by: his wife Letitia "Tish" Marsh (Hodgin); his children, Jill Mewhirter (James) and Stephen Joseph Marsh (Kristin); his grandchildren, Tyler, Travis (Delaney), Cody Mewhirter (Karen), Isabella and Andrew John Marsh; and his great grandchildren, Ryleigh, Austin, Mackenzie and Harper Mewhirter.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Gale Dennis "Butch" Marsh's name to Mason Dixon Baptist Church.
