He was predeceased by: his father David L. Hillard. He is survived by: his spouse Lorrie G. Hillard (Connor); his mother Anita F. Boley (Glass) of New Holland; his stepmother Nancy Hillard (Hurst) of New Holland; his children, Natalie L. (John Francis) and David J. C. Hillard (Kylie Luter); his granddaughter Camie E. Francis; his sister Donna (Scott Mathiot); and his nephew Chris Mathiot (Maggie Weeks).
