It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Emma H. Witmer of New Holland, Pennsylvania, who passed away on July 17, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jonas Good and Emma Good (Hoover); and her siblings, David Good, Sarah Newswanger, Rebecca Wenger and Barbara Rissler.
She is survived by: her husband Jacob W. Witmer; her children, Alfred Witmer of Dayton, VA, Emma Ruth (Aaron Martin) of Salisbury, NC, Ernest (Wilma), Rosella (Wayne Keeny) of Sinking Spring, Earl (Marlene), Eldon (Joy) and Annie (Allen Ray Martin) of New Holland; and her sister Mabel Burkholder of Fleetwood, PA.. She is also survived by nineteen grandchildren, thirty-two great grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Witmer Residence (1076 W Main St, New Holland, PA 17557). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 at 9:30 AM at the Groffdale Mennonite Church (90 Groffdale Church Rd, Leola, PA 17540).
