He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer W. Groff and Leah H. Brubaker Groff; his brothers, Ernest (Mary Ann Groff) and Elwood (Ruth Ann Groff); and his brother-in-law Raymond Horst.
He is survived by: his children, Twila Ann (Daniel M. Sensenig) of Ephrata, Clair Eugene (Sueann), Nelson Lamar (Julia) and Curvin Ray (Amy); and his sister Eleanor Horst of Richland, PA..
