He was predeceased by: his parents, Abram B. Witmer and Cora Witmer (Sensenig); and his siblings, Helen (late Menno Nolt), Melvin Witmer and Ray S. (late Jackie Witmer).
He is survived by: his wife Vicky E. Witmer (Adams); his children, Teresa Witmer of Akron, Jennifer Witmer of East Petersburg and Jeffrey (Donna Witmer) of Maryland; his siblings, Abram S. Witmer, Harold S. (Cathy), Willis (Martha) and Alma W. (Ervin Miller); and his sister-in-law Ellen Witmer (Fry). He is also survived by five grandchildren; a great-grandchild.
