He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Ewing and Evelyn Kerr Ewing; and his siblings, Alfred Ewing and Bonnie Klingensmith. He is survived by: his wife Cathy Copelin Ewing; his children, Bobbi Jo Swanger, Mary Errett (Chris) and David Ewing Jr.; his brothers, Clair Ewing and Edward Ewing; and his grandchildren, Olivia, Michael Swanger, Cooper Errett, Lilly and Nathan Ewing.
