He was predeceased by: his parents, John Stimel and Helen Duran Stimel; his sister Stephanie McElhaney; and his brothers-in-law, Robert Koenig, Fred Leslie and Robert McElhaney.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Stimel (Myers); his sons, Richard Stimel and Edward Stimel (Stacy); his granddaughter Avery Stimel; his daughter-in-law Renee Weimer; and his siblings, John, George Stimel, Carol Koenig, Geraldine Leslie and Lori Luc.
