He was predeceased by: his parents, Elwood F. Bevans and Louise T. Bevans (Grove); his grandson Ezekiel Bevans; and his brothers, Russell and Ronald Bevans.

He is survived by: his wife Dodie Bevans; and his children, Brandi Bevans of York, Becky Vargas of York, Alexandria Zinn of Hanover, Dustin Shindledecker of New Oxford, Ashley Bevans of East Berlin and Destiny Bevans of Hanover. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren.
