He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Melius and Mildred "Mid" Melius (Figard). He is survived by: his spouse Shirley M. Melius (Lee); and his children, Robert E. Melius Jr. of Los Angeles, CA, William Melius (Samantha Chidley) of Osterburg, Joy Lynn Bennett (Troy Swindell) of Newville and Christina Bailey (Steve Grimes) of New Paris. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
