He is survived by: his wife Frances "Fran" A. Kowalewski (Dureka); and his children, Francine Menko (David), Carolyn Kowalewski (Scott Petery), Stephen J. Kowalewski Jr. (Charlotte), John M. Kowalewski (Michelle) and Joseph J. Kowalewski (Angela). He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
