June Hess Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of June Hess of New Salem, Pennsylvania, born in Adah, Pennsylvania, who passed away on October 17, 2025, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William June and Mabel Thomas June (Smith); her sons, William Leslie Brummett and Darrell Lynn Brummett; and her brothers, Adam, Ray, Jack, Herbie, Lee, Roy and Donnie.
She is survived by: her significant other Harry Steiner; her sisters, Ruth, Dolores "Tootsie", Audrey, Ellen, Pearl and Evelyn; her daughter Bonnie Bakos; her sister Nancy Shazer; her grandchildren, Billy Bakos (Sherri), Karen Daley, Michelle Bakos, Sean Bakos, William Brummett and Charlie Brummett; and her close friend Harry Steiner. She is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren, eight great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Skirpan Funeral Home (135 Park St, Brownsville, PA 15417). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
