He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert C. Whisner and Luhelen G. Whisner (Schwartz); his wife Wanda J. Whisner (Errett); his son Robert "Moose" Whisner III; and his sisters, Blanche Sell, Roberta Patton and Cecelia Wergin.
He is survived by: his daughters, Heather E. Snyder of Greensburg, PA and Tamara Whisner-Cramer (Harry) of Arona, PA; his grandchildren, Robert C. Whisner IV (Shea) of Greensburg, PA, Tara Saunders (Jason) of Madison, PA, Nicholas Snyder and Brian Cramer of Greensburg, PA; and his great grandchildren, Scarlett Whisner, Brynn Whisner, Daisy Saunders and Gage Saunders. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
