He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond W. Hurst and Nora S. Hurst (Weaver); his son Jonathan M. Hurst; and his siblings, Richard Hurst, Glenn Hurst and Vera Jane Martin (Leroy Sauder) of Lebanon.
He is survived by: his wife Irene Hurst (Zimmerman); his daughters, Melissa (Michael Sensenig) of Newmanstown, Josephine (Lowell Nolt) of Fredericksburg and Stephanie (Austin Martin) of Loysville; his daughter-in-law Carla (Jay Zimmerman) of East Earl; and his siblings-in-law, Mary Hurst of Richland and David Martin of Ephrata. He is also survived by 25 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 18th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Midway Mennonite Reception Center (210 E Lexington Rd, Lititz, PA 17543). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Springville Mennonite Church (580 Springville Rd, Ephrata, PA 17522).
