He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Strickler and Sarah Strickler (Meiser); his siblings, Barbara Schwalm, John Strickler, Terry Strickler, Dick Strickler and Bobby Strickler; and his pet Hunter.
He is survived by: his girlfriend Phoebe L. Merkel; his girlfriend's son Chris Merkel; his grandson Keldon; and his siblings, Linda Derr and Larry Strickler. He is also survived by numerous nieces & nephews.
