He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel J. and Dorothy (Loftus); and his sister Joan Pirrone of Stonehurst, PA. He is survived by: his sister Barbara Daly; his children, Jill Marie Py (McNichol), Daniel J. McNichol, Jr. (Ashley Soto McNichol), Katelyn (McNichol) and Rom (Ryan Rom); and his grandchildren, Lauren, Meghan, Brynlee, Emilia, Carson and Solomon "Solly". He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Dan's name to his alma mater, Monsignor Bonner High School.
