As Joseph departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Joseph may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Joseph leaves behind.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Diane M. Gonsalves; his daughters, Mia Gonsalves and Madeline Abbott (Brad); his grandchildren, Graham and Noa Abbott; his siblings, Karen Irons (James), Michael Gonsalves (Laurie) and Kathy Burke (Wayne); and his sisters-in-law, Patricia Stewart (Victor) and Cynthia DeStefano. He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 21st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Stretch Funeral Home (236 E Eagle Rd, Havertown, PA 19083). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, August 22nd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Mary Magdalen Church (2400 N Providence Rd, Media, PA 19063).
