She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Fisher and Florence Scheetz Fisher. She is survived by: her husband Douglas Thomas Gittens; her daughters, Elizabeth (Eric Blythe) and Gwendolyn (John Pizzi); her grandchildren, Hudson Thomas, Penelope Rose Blythe, Wyatt Carsen and Evelyn Elizabeth Pizzi; and her brother Thomas Richard Fisher, Jr..

Memorial contribution may be made to the American Cancer Society, Countryside Gardeners or St. Luke's Episcopal Church.

“Lee was one of the first persons that met when I moved to Newtown in 1980. We became friends and were volunteers in many organizations. Our husbands Skip and Joe were friends, and we spent many years partying, volunteering and traveling together. Lee invited me to join Countryside Gardeners. She taught me everything that I know about gardening. I still remember when she took me in that red pickup to buy all I needed to put in my first flower beds. I will miss her.”
