He was predeceased by: his parents, Ellis Barcafer and Agnes Barcafer; and his daughter Deborah Ruth Barcafer. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Laura; his sisters, Linda Fenton and Brenda Norman; his children, Phillip Dale Barcafer, Jr. (Catherine) and Susan Barcafer Cohen (Steven Cohen); his grandchildren, Ryan Barth (Christy Mainley-Barth), Cory Barth, Zachary Cohen and Alyssa Cohen (Montana O'Neill); and his great grandchildren, Gavin Barth, Delaney Barth, Grayson and Neill. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
