He was predeceased by: his parents, Carmen DeMito and Elizabeth DeMito Sr. (Sciallo); his wife Patricia DeMito (Stachelek); and his brothers, Henry, Carmen Jr. and Lawrence "TJ".
He is survived by: his son Paul DeMito; his sister Loretta Belz; his granddaughters, Bianca Bukasa (Kabongo) and Danielle Edwards (Terrance); and his great grandchildren, Nolan Edwards and Nori Bukasa. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
