He was predeceased by: his brother Michael Brooks; and his sister-in-law Stephanie Brooks. He is survived by: his wife Susan Caughlan; his children, Laura Caughlan, Gregory Brooks and Karin Brooks; and his nieces and nephews, Sarah Corsaro (Matthew), Emily Garner (Brad), Jason Schulley (Rachel) and Tyler Schulley.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in David's memory may be made to the Union of Concerned Scientists or the National Audubon Society.
