He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell J. LaFuria and Stella LaFuria (Wisniewski); his wife Tina Marie DeGolier LaFuria; his siblings, Kathy Scepura, Carmella Manges (Carl) and Salvatore (Sam) LaFuria (Francelia); and his sister-in-law Jobeth LaFuria.
He is survived by: his close friend Susan O'Neal; his children, Scott LaFuria (Marisa), Daniel Newberry (Denise), Traci Comstock (Bradley) and Jenny Carll (Mark); his brothers, Stanley LaFuria (Lois) and Russell LaFuria, Jr.; and his grandchildren, Ethan, Liam LaFuria, Lindsey, Emme, Elsa, Cormac, Clara Newberry, Stella, Samuel, Hazel Comstock, Joseph and Tina Carll. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to St. Gregory Church, Mellon Heritage Veterans Outreach Campus, or the National Kidney Foundation.
