He was predeceased by: his parents, Ferdinand Fredrich and Caroline Ziek (Petrla); his wife Mardene Merritt Ziek; his son Dennis Ziek (Suzanne); and his siblings, Charles Ziek (Annette), Margaret McConnaughey (John), Harriet Lantz (Charles), Caroline Ziek, Raymond Ziek (Ellen), Edward Ziek (Jean), Robert Ziek (Dolores), David Ziek (Elaine) and Thomas Ziek (Josephine).
He is survived by: his sons, Michael Ziek (Mabel) of Denver, CO and Timothy Ziek (Gwendolyn) of North East; his grandchildren, Aaron Ziek (Amber), Jennifer Getty (James) and Daniel Ziek; and his great grandchildren, Tyler Ziek (McKenzie), Trevor Ziek, Carter Getty, Tanner Ziek and Preston Getty.
