Joan T. Dilts Obituary

We are sad to announce that on September 13, 2025, at the age of 89, Joan T. Dilts of North Huntingdon, Pennsylvania passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Guerino Teti and Matilda DeMarino Smith; her husband Arthur Dilts; her son Edward Joseph Phillips Jr.; and her granddaughter Angela Phillips.

She is survived by: her children, Kenneth Phillips (Patti), Christopher Dilts (Christine), Linda Paranick (Donald), Sharon Melani (David) and Carole Sever; her siblings, Angelo Teti (Phyllis) and Rose Beeson; and her grandchildren, Jenna Belyea (Benjamin), Tara Valentino (Nicholas), Rachel Cunningham (Jeremy), Adam Paranick, Sean Melani (Brittany), Teri Grumski (Joshua), Mark Phillips (Amy), Paul Phillips (Lauren), Mary Sampey (Andrew), Michael Matta (Toni), Connor Phillips Elizabeth (Cailie), Thomas Sever III, Jacob Sever, Derrick Dilts (Rachel), Harrison Dilts and Dalton Dilts.

Visitation was held on Thursday, September 18th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, Inc. (176 Clay Pike, Irwin, PA 15642). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the St. Agnes Church (11400 St Agnes Ln, Irwin, PA 15642). A burial was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 at the St. Joseph Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Amercian Kidney Foundation.
