He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert McCarren and Martha Caldwell McCarren; his wife Carol E. Anderson McCarren; his brother Thomas McCarren; and his brother-in-law Michael Anderson.
He is survived by: his daughter Kelly; his son-in-law Joe Funk of Irwin; his grandsons, Jonathan and Joshua; his siblings, Robert McCarren, Jr. (Deborah), Donna McElhose (Jim) and Patricia Maxwell (Russell); his siblings-in-law, Kathy McCarren, Linda Anderson and Robert Anderson (Mary Eileen); and his close friend Sally Thompson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
