He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin True and Catherine Wolfe True; his daughter Marlaina Curry; and his siblings, James True, Karen Detar and Elaine Serman.
He is survived by: his wife Rita Huzela True; his children, John True Jr. (Stacy), Justin True and Michelle Evans (John); his son-in-law Richard Curry; his grandchildren, Joshua Curry (Sarah), Nathan Evans, Brittany Atkinson (Jack), Tyler Evans and Jeremy Curry; and his great grandchildren, Morgan, Carter, Myles and Kallen.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, Inc. (176 Clay Pike, Irwin, PA 15642). A Mass will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Agnes Church (11400 St Agnes Ln, Irwin, PA 15642). A burial will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at the Westmoreland Memorial Park (150 East Side Dr, Greensburg, PA 15601).
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given in John's name to the True family.
