He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Gooch and Evelyn Gooch (Yonek); his wife Sally Gooch (Schiavo); his in-laws, Salvatore Sr. and Sarah Schiavo; and his brothers-in-law, Salvatore Jr. and David Schiavo.

He is survived by: his children, Jeffrey Gooch (Samantha), Sarah Wilke (Shawn) and William Gooch (Jordan); his pet Giacamo; his grandchildren, Jack, Theo, Matthew, Michael, Sally and Gabriel; his sisters, Dolores Urbansky (Billy), Paula Sleva (Casey) and Susie Spanbauer (John); and his sisters-in-law, Marie Rose (Tom), Barb Duffy (Mike), Joanne Fetch (Harold), Donna Schiavo and Teresa Schiavo. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
