We bid farewell to Ruth Wright of North Huntingdon, Pennsylvania, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on July 28, 2025 at the age of 88. She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Schroer and Minnie Gordon Schroer; her husband Jerome Wright; her siblings, Robert "Shake" Schroer, Kenneth Schroer and Betty Davis; and her stepfather Gus Humbrock.
She is survived by: her children, Walter Wright (Bridget), Jerry Wright Jr. (Faith), Marsha Meyers (Chuck) and Kathy Novacek (Dave); her sisters, Margaret Kampeter and Mary Ann Distler; her grandchildren, Charlie (Jamie) of Brianna, A. J., Miranda, Katie and Tally; and her great grandchildren, Savannah, Bella and Nova.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, Inc. (176 Clay Pike, Irwin, PA 15642). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at the Penn Lincoln Memorial Park (14679 US-30, North Huntingdon, PA 15642).
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given in Ruth's name to the Norwin Public Library.
