Stephen leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Stephen’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Stephen will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Stephen Ondrey and Margaret Misko Ondrey; his son Matthew Ondrey; and his sister Geraldine "Gerry" McLean. He is survived by: his wife Kathy Grondziowski Ondrey; his children, Lisa Trosky (Bill) and Mark Ondrey; and his siblings, Paul Ondrey and Elaine Fabrizi (late Tom). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, Inc. (176 Clay Pike, Irwin, PA 15642). A Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Agnes Church (11400 St Agnes Ln, Irwin, PA 15642). A burial will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at the Immaculate Conception Cemetery.
