He was predeceased by: his parents, John L. Knaus and Lydia Matias Knaus; and his son Thomas. He is survived by: his wife Marlene Terek Knaus; his son Kevin Knaus; his grandchildren, Juliet, Samuel and Ian of Indiana Twp; and his sister Kathy Jo of Spring City, Utah..
