He was predeceased by: his parents, Arnold Dempsey and Amelia Dempsey (Soles); his wife Mary Catherine Dempsey (Heil); his son Scott; and his brothers, Robert Dempsey (Matilda), Walter Dempsey (Mary), Gerald Dempsey (Viona), George "Edward" Dempsey (Doris), Lawrence Dempsey and Lewis Dempsey (Barbara).
He is survived by: his children, Deborah Dempsey, Doug Dempsey (Phyllis Shuster) and Lisa Dempsey-Snyder (Paul Sawders); his grandchildren, Brandon Dempsey (Lori Davis), Drew Dempsey, Maggie Geier (David), Caitlin, Tyler, Cole, Beau Dempsey, Ryan Snyder (Alexandra) and Jarret Sawders; his great grandchildren, Grayson, Hannah Geier and Lucas Snyder; and his sister Betty Klages (Harold). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Gilbert Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. (1638 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131).
