He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Shafer and Ellen Schafer (Kiechel); and his brother Donald Schafer. He is survived by: his wife Janet Schafer (Martinuzzi); his daughters, Angela Schafer of Bethlehem, PA and Christine Schafer of Northampton, PA; his grandchildren, Gianna Dinh, Olivia Reed, Sophia and Christian Hutchens; his brother Terry Schafer (Michelle) of Whitehall, PA; his cousins, Rodell Billheimer (Cindy), Sylvia Jane and Frank Hahn of Bethlehem, PA; and his pets, Franky and Turk.
