She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Lechene and Eva Lechene (Finet); and her husband Victor Chverchko. She is survived by: her children, Todd Chverchko (Amanda), Tawnya LaMark (John) and Melanie Smith (Mark Kopera); her brothers, Edward Lechene and Patrick Lechene (Linda); and her close friend Thomas Anderson. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc. (1303 Bigler Ave, Northern Cambria, PA 15714). A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the St. Bernard Catholic Church (148 7th Ave, Hastings, PA 16646).
She worked her way from line cook to head cook at St. Andrew's Village and the Eastern Orthodox Foundation, where she took great pride in preparing meals for others.
