He was predeceased by: his mother Margaret Betzer; his stepfather Bill Betzer; and his father Joseph Long. He is survived by: his family, Michele, Michael, Kerry Hoffman of Old Forge, Matthew Long, Danielle of Northumberland, Jonah Long, Anna of Selinsgrove, Noah and Elise Long of New Columbia; his sister Mary Funk; his brother-in-law Dave; his niece Megan Funk (Melissa) of Milton; his grandchildren, Pyper, Mikey, Lennon, Maxton and Rustyn; and his nephew Ryan Funk.
In lieu of flowers, Joe's family requests that everyone hug their loved ones a little tighter, or even a phone call to "check in".
