He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Lachat and Edna Lachat (Herr); and his siblings, Charles, Edward, Albert, William, Lewis and Olive Zerbe.
He is survived by: his wife Marjorie P. Lachat (Powers); his daughters, Dawn R. Raynes (Rob Seaman) and Diana L. DeMarte (Joe DeMarte); his grandchildren, Jason Raynes (Inga Hinterliter), Kevin Raynes (Robyn Raynes), Kyle Raynes (Katie Raynes), Nicole DeMarte (Zefflin Morrison), Eric DeMarte and Jessica DeMarte (Chase Zurawski); and his sisters, Betty Olmstead and Shirley Russell. He is also survived by six great grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 5th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Christ United Methodist Church.
