He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul R. Geise and Martha Geise (Riggs); his brother John Geise; and his sister-in-law Ruth Geise (Lagomarsino) of Huntington Beach, California.. He is survived by: his children, James B. Geise (Michelle (Wagner)) of Northumberland, Jeanette Geise of Parkville, Maryland and George P. Geise (Jeanne (Hackenberg)) of Northumberland; his sisters, Fern Geise of Huntington Beach, California and Jean Geise (Ky Azlien) of Sagle, Idaho.; and his grandchildren, James Jr., Allison, Paul, Katherine, Andrew, Stephen and Sarah. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the First Regular Baptist Church (205 Queen St, Northumberland, PA 17857). Viewing will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location.
Because Leon was deeply committed to sharing the good news of Jesus Christ, especially with the next generation, the family requests that, instead of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Northumberland Christian School.
