He was predeceased by: his parents, George Herzing and Margaret Herzing; his wife Anna Marie; his brothers, Thomas Herzing and Leo Herzing; and his granddaughters, Angela Catharine Herzing and Margaret Delay Herzing.
He is survived by: his children, Margaret Gatewood, Anna Herzing, Nancy Dulzer and Bill Herzing; and his sister Rose Belsole. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.
