He is survived by: his wife Sharon DeShields; his children, George DeShields III (Carisa) of Murfreesboro, TN, Terrance DeShields of Murfreesboro, TN, Traci Morton of Corona, CA, Kesha DeShields of Crestview, FL and Tia Brown of Kennett Square, PA; his grandson Ernest Joint III; his sisters, Rev. Margaret DeShields Cornelius (Alan) and Catherine I. DeShields; and his siblings-in-law, Karen A. Dickinson (David) of Waimea, Kawai and Albert "Deet" Morton III of Coatesville. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
