He was predeceased by: his parents, John S. Sr. Murray and Beulah Murray (Kratzer); his wife Mary Lou E. Cotner; his son Michael P. Murray; his brother John S., Jr.; and his sister-in-law Catherine Murray.
He is survived by: his children, J. Robert Murray (Arlene), Cindy L. Tarr (Lon), Susan E. Wajda (Frank), John E. Murray (Ann) and Lana L. Reed; his grandchildren, Brandon A. Tarr (Ariana), Jared B. Tarr and Brynn N. Wajda; and his brothers, James R. Murray (Betty) and Jay O. Murray (Marion). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
