He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Shamp and Anna Shamp (Sprenkle); his siblings-in-law, Merlin, Edith Messner, Betty Cope and Elsie Messner; and his nieces, Carol Cope and Barbara Bish.
He is survived by: his spouse Shirley M. Messner; his daughter Cindy L. Shamp of Bloomsburg; his brother Robert O. Shamp of Sunbury; and his niece Mollie Hines of Farmersville, TX..
