John Reefer Obituary

With sadness, we share the passing of John Reefer of Nu Mine, Pennsylvania. John, born on August 17, 1942, passed away on June 5, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Berton Reefer and Bernice Reefer (Kromer); and his wife Bonnie Reefer. He is survived by: his children, Debbie Lightcap (Mike) of Plumville, Stacy Smith (Don) of Slate Lick and Scott Reefer of NuMine; his grandchildren, Shelly Shellhammer (Garrick), Peyton Fairman (Blake), Derek Traister and Tyler Lightcap; his great grandchild Stella Gene Shellhammer; and his siblings, Russell Reefer (Mary Lou) of Dayton, Donald "Pete" Reefer (Betty Rae) of Dayton, James Reefer (Jaci) of Marion Center, Helen Deener of Marion, TX, Linda Brewer (Tom) of Rural Valley and Doris Jean Zelinski of Karns City. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
