He is survived by: his wife Eileen Fiola Leininger; his children, Alicia Scappe (David), Christa Leininger and John Leininger III (Aly Puskar); his stepchildren, Amy and Kim Doerflinger; his grandchildren, Noah, Nico, Launa and Lexi; his siblings, Donna Strehl (late Tom), Cathy Koishal (late Gary) and Ron Leininger (Jacqueline); and his aunt Helen Smith. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.
