She was predeceased by: her sister Thelma Penders. She is survived by: her husband Robert M. Coates; her children, Cyndi Caristo, Bob Coates (Mary Beth) and Nancy Greenwood (Jim); her grandchildren, Janiece Moody (Mike), Drew Caristo (Jessica), Alex Caristo (Lauren), Charlotte Greenwood and Elsie Greenwood; and her siblings, Irma Thompson, Bill Kipp and Sonny Kipp. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made in her name to Oakmont Presbyterian Church, 415 Pennsylvania Ave. Oakmont, PA 15139.
