She was predeceased by: her husband Howard S. Gruber; her parents, Vantzel Sampson and Verna Sampson; and her siblings, Mary Priore, Robert Sampson and Ann Lambert.
She is survived by: her children, Michael Gruber (Mary Phan) of Pittsburgh and Lisa Douridas (Steven) of Florida; her grandchildren, Leslie Steele (Sean), Emily Phan-Gruber (Jeremy Friedman), Heather Douridas and Joshua Phan-Gruber (Shannon Deep); her great grandchildren, Noah, Bethany Steele and Charlie Friedman; and her sisters, Patricia Miller, Katie Westjohn, Wilma Neeley (Jerry) and Carol Sharrett (Richey).
