He was predeceased by : his parents, Robert McDermott and Joan McDermott (Ceraso); and his in-laws, Burl and Sue Slaugenhaupt. He is survived by : his wife Anne; his children, Laura Mullican (Peter) of Oakmont and Patrick McDermott (Erin) of Lakewood, OH; his grandchildren, Ethan and Emilia Mullican; his siblings, Thomas McDermott, Michael McDermott, Susan Klingensmith (Robert), James McDermott (Lorrie) and Todd McDermott (Gina); and his brothers-in-law, Michael Slaugenhaupt (Karin) and Richard Slaugenhaupt (Meri). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
