He was predeceased by: his parents, William Gavin and Maralda Salerno Gavin. He is survived by: his daughter Maria Azzarelli; his granddaughter Arabella Chaar; his former wife Elizabeth Dell'Aquilla Perfetto; and his friend Dr. Scott Rieder.

A procession will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 9:45 AM at the Ferri & Gillette Funeral Services (522 Fallon St, Old Forge, PA 18518). A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 10:50 AM at the Prince of Peace Parish (123 W Grace St, Old Forge, PA 18518). A committal service will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 from 11:10 AM to 11:30 AM at the Old Forge Cemetery (200-232 Smull St, Old Forge, PA 18518).
