With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Bertha Diaz of Oley, Pennsylvania, born in Pottstown, Pennsylvania, who passed away on March 29, 2026 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Malcolm Koons and Jeannetta Koons (Edge); her daughters, Mary Frances Diaz and Annette Diaz; and her siblings, Malcolm Koons and Margaret Auchter.
She is survived by: her children, Philip T. (Donna (Tait) Diaz) of Columbus, Ohio, Bernadette M. Diaz (Mark Trinka) of Oak Park, Illinois, Theresa M. Diaz (Scott Robertson) of Reading and Joseph A. (Judith (Koegler) Diaz) of Providence; her grandchildren, Elizabeth Diaz (Jonathan Wilhelm), Philip Diaz II (Haley (Bigler) Diaz), Christopher Diaz, Luke Trinka (Samantha Stein), Tess Trinka (Aidan French), Lin Robertson, Maya Trinka, Stephanie Diaz, Meg Robertson, Mark Trinka, Samuel Robertson, Thomas Diaz and Mariluz Diaz; her great grandchildren, JP, Vinny, Lilli, Rose and Wyatt; her brother Fulton (Suzanne (Bitler) Koons); and her siblings-in-law, Mary Ellen Koons and James Auchter. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
