He was predeceased by: his parents, John Ashman and Olive Shook; his sister Joann; his son Neil A Ashman (Meitzler); and the mother of his children Ida "Tacci" Perinotto.
He is survived by: his sons, John J, Kenneth D., Daniel and Tegan Ashman; and his nephew Jesse Ziegenfus. He is also survived by 5 children his Great Grand Children.
