He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruth McLaughlin and William McLaughlin; and his former wife Ann Marks. He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Nerino; and his children, Peter (Doris), Lauren and Andrew (Jenifer). He is also survived by five grandchildren and many nieces and nephews, and Marilyn's children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family requests that memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
