He was predeceased by: his parents, George W. Carey, and Thelma G. Carey, Sr. (Schuman); his wife Judy D. Carey (Fletcher); and his siblings, George W. Carey, Jr. and Bonnie Kriner.
He is survived by: his children, Lisa D. Carey (Robert Funari) of Chambersburg and Michael C. Carey (Harry Fromme) of Sanford, FL; his grandchildren, Elaina Vaughn (Nathan Fluss), Spencer Vaughn and Rebekah Kraynek (Bryan); his great grandchildren, Jocelyn, Brendon, Braxton, Kyran and Nora; and his siblings, Richard Carey (Karen) of Shippensburg, Geary Carey (Raquel) of Philadelphia and Judy Yohe of Shippensburg. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
