He was predeceased by: his parents, George K. Garvin and Ruth M. Gray; his stepfather Donald Gray; and his sister Patricia Wright. He is survived by: his wife Wilma Garvin; his children, Darren "Duke" Garvin (Deborah), Tracey Thomson Kelly (Eric) and Sierra Garvin (Kenny); and his siblings, Stephen Gray and Stephanie Wilhelm (Fred). He is also survived by five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
